April 2, 2020
As a result of Governor Kemp’s executive order, mandating school closures in Georgia, Excel Christian Academy will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. Our state officials deem this measure necessary to keep communities safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Our students will continue the active learning we have been providing, our teachers will continue to actively instruct using video technology and submit assignments to our students via email. They will each continue to reach out to our families via phone calls and emails to ensure everyone is receiving their assignments, to answer any questions, and to remind everyone we are praying for each of you! Please continue to do what you can to be sure students are participating in those cyber classrooms.

SPRING BREAK:
Everyone will still have Spring Break April 6th – 10th. There will not be any instruction or assignments during that time. Our teachers will continue communication with students and parents regarding digital learning following Spring Break.

TUITION UPDATE:
Continue to make your tuition payments as scheduled, either by mail or FACTS/online.

We realize this announcement raises a lot of questions for everyone. We will work to address those questions as soon as possible. Our highest priority continues to be supporting our faculty, students, and families of ECA.

We will continue to be ECA STRONG because we choose to live by FAITH not fear! Remember TOGETHER we can do anything because we have Christ on our side! Phil. 4:13

Blessings to you and your family!

David Archer Joins ECA as Director of Athletics

News Release – FEBRUARY 11, 2020

Today, Mr. David Archer, Jr. was named Director of Athletics and Head Boys High School Basketball Coach at Excel Christian Academy. David shared “I am truly blessed to be afforded an opportunity to join a school and a family as purposeful as Excel Christian Academy, and I look forward to the potential of having a positive impact on the direction of the Eagle Athletic Program!”

A native of Cartersville, GA, David has held Head Coaching and Athletic Director roles most recently at the junior college level, at Chattahoochee Technical College. As Head Coach, he has been a tremendous developer of talent and more importantly a life-long friend to his players over the years. David is a Championship coach, with nearly two decades of coaching experience. He and his wife, Amy, reside here in Cartersville, GA with their family.

“David’s passion for the game of basketball and the young men he comes into contact with are undeniable. So too is his focus on faith, family, and community. He is what we need in a Christ-centered man, developer of our students-athletes, and coach. The qualities he possesses as a coach and a human being really make him a fantastic candidate for being our head coach and director of athletics. I’m so happy to be able to bring him to Excel Christian Academy, and closer to a community he loves so much.” stated school Liaison to the Board of Directors, Tony Suber.

With the recent end to this year’s basketball season, players will get a chance to meet their new coach, hear how he plans to help lead the program, and how they will play a role in helping with the program heading into the new school year.

We are excited about David Archer joining our ECA team, and we look forward to introducing him to each of you soon!
